St Mark's is the longest established of the Residential Colleges affiliated to the University of Adelaide and is situated in North Adelaide. As well as Adelaide, its members attend Flinders University and the University of South Australia. It is associated with the Anglican Church, but is open to men and women of all faiths.
St Mark's College offers two types of Cowan Grants:
Type 1: Scholarships to assist with board and residence costs of up to $7,000 at St Mark's for University terms for one full year only. These scholarships are designed to allow rural or regional-based students who would otherwise be unable to afford tertiary education in Adelaide to obtain one full year at St Mark's. Some further assistance may be available in subsequent years.
There is no application form: nominations come from your school. If you are in this financial situation, talk to your careers adviser, your year coordinator, or your principal - and show them this page and nomination form. Note that there are also scholarships like these at Roseworthy Residential College.
Type 2: For students already at St Mark's, some continuing Cowan grants are available.
